This year, the spotlight shone on Brandi Phillips, LPN, who was recognized as the 2025 DAISY Award recipient. This prestigious honor is reserved for nurses who demonstrate unparalleled dedication, compassion, and excellence in patient care.
A Legacy of Gratitude and Recognition
The DAISY Award was founded by the Barnes family in 1999 to honor nurses who made a profound impact during their son Patrick’s eight-week battle with ITP (Immune Thrombocytopenia). Their heartfelt appreciation led to the creation of The DAISY Foundation, which celebrates nurses worldwide for their compassionate and skillful care.

Brandi Phillips, LPN, has become a beacon of compassion and professionalism at Donalsonville Hospital. Her ability to provide exceptional care while forming meaningful connections with patients and their families has earned her this well-deserved recognition.
At the ceremony, Brandi was presented with the iconic Healer’s Touch sculpture, handcrafted in Zimbabwe, along with a certificate of honor and other gifts.
