Southwest Georgia Healthcare Clinics is welcoming a new provider to the team, and for Dr. Belinda Bell, this isn’t just a new job. It’s a homecoming. The board-certified family medicine physician, with a special focus on women’s health, will officially join the practice on August 10th, seeing patients at the 219 South Wiley Ave. location.
Dr. Bell is a native of Southwest Georgia, and her path back home started right here. She graduated from Seminole County High School before heading off to Valdosta State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She went on to Mercer University School of Medicine for her medical degree and completed her Family Medicine Residency at Baldwin Health in Foley, Alabama. Along the way, she built experience across a wide range of care, including pediatrics, geriatrics, women’s health, chronic disease management, preventive care, and aesthetic services such as Botox.
“I’m honored to return home and care for the community where I was raised,” Dr. Bell said. “It is a privilege to serve the people of Southwest Georgia, and I look forward to building meaningful relationships with my patients and their families.”
That focus on relationships shows in how she practices. Dr. Bell treats patients of all ages, with a particular focus on women’s health, and takes a personalized approach, working to help families build healthier lives one visit at a time.
Outside the clinic, she spends her time with her husband, Clay, and their dog, Charles, and you can usually find her cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs or enjoying the outdoors with family and friends.
