Donalsonville Hospital is looking to immediately hire a Medical Technologist.
Shift: Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM, on call one week a month
Education: Bachelor’s degree & Medical Technologist Certification.
Must possess a current Medical Technologist Certification from ASCP, AMT or equivalent certification agency.
Primary duties: Microbiology (which includes setting up cultures and gram stains), reading MicroScan panels, and performing Flu, Strep, and COVID-19 testing. Tech will also be responsible for all aspects of quality control in the Microbiology department.
Other duties: : Analyze blood and other bodily fluids, maintain equipment, perform quality control in other departments of the lab, some phlebotomy is required.
